While we are very sad to have had to cancel our May meeting, we hope that you have been reading, writing and marketing during this lock-down. If you are already journaling, know that you aren't the only one. And if you aren't journaling yet, maybe you should be.
There is a lot of information online about journaling -- just search for "COVID-19 journaling" or a similar phrase. Some of what you will find is the reasons WHY you should be journaling, which includes stress relief. Others will give you prompts or different ways to journal such as including photographs. Many local historical societies and museums are asking for folks to journal for posterity. One of them is the Naper Settlement, but many other history organizations across the country are also looking for journals, so check out your specific location.
A lot of people are finding that even with all this time on their hands, they aren't being as productive as they hoped. They say that's one reaction to stress, which journaling can help relieve. So consider committing your thoughts to paper or pixels or whatever you are most comfortable with. If you want to share your creative output, please do!
